Mutual - LDS Dating iOS App Details

Mutual is the largest and fastest growing LDS dating app! Mutual is a place where LDS singles can make meaningful connections that lead to real dating. The app was created by BYU grads who know how difficult it can be to meet others with similar interests and standards, especially outside of Provo. Mutual offers features that help you get to know other single Mormons beyond their profile photos, by highlighting information such as mission location, mutual friends, and interests you share in common with potential matches. The Mutual team is committed to upholding the standards of our faith, and making Mutual a genuine and safe place you can trust. Everyone is required to sign in through Facebook to ensure people are who they claim to be, and all profiles get reviewed by one of our LDS team-members before entering our community. We also make it easy to report inappropriate behavior in the app, to maintain a positive environment for everyone. In the words of Brigham Young, "This is the place." MUTUAL UP - MORE FEATURES Upgrade to Mutual Up for access to exclusive new features, including: Ward Hop to change your location and match around the world, Unlimited Double Takes to undo past swipes, Ninja Mode to go invisible to everyone except people you swipe up on, and Daily Notes to stand out and increase your chance of matching. ------------------- Mutual is free to use, but if you choose to purchase Mutual Up, payment will be charged to your iTunes account, and your account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period. • Keeps Crashing

    By Benkk14
I think the app is great and helps you meet some really cool people. Would give 5 stars if not for the fact that recently it won’t even let me open it on my iPhone 7, it crashes immediately even when I delete the app and re-download it. Please fix!! Edit- it stopped crashing. Fun app!

  • The app is kinda glitchy

    By ughnotsatisfied
I got the app and have had a good amount of matches but after the last update it started closing at random times, when I get messages it says a number the is crazy high like 934, and it as been logging me out and not letting me log back in. I’m not sure what’s going on with it but it’s getting on my nerves.
  • No notifications

For the last couple of days mutual has not been giving me any notifications about matches/messages. I know it’s not just me because people I am messaging have been saying the same thing.

  • My Review

So this app is super cool. I think that it needs to be updated a bit though. I don’t get ANY notification when I get a message or match and that’s really irritating. Also, the subscription prices are a little much to be honest. Other than that, it’s super cool and WAY better than tinder or bumble.
  • Needs improvement

    By alexander.kovalenko
I've used this app for a bit. It's different in different areas so there's that. The real problem is the functionality of the app. There's a lot of bugs. I never get notifications with my matches and whenever I'm listening to music and open the app it turns off my music. I like using this app to meet people with the same values as I do, it just needs improvements.
  • Great for connecting people, terrible software

    By Tanner798
The app is great to meet LDS people in local areas. However, the app has tons of bugs that needed to be fixed a long time ago. Literally the same problems; i.e. notifications not working when they’re enabled, failing to load profiles after matching, failing to load messages or even send them, forcing me to log out, and many more. None of these problems are caused by internet connection because of the other dating apps working just fine while Mutual fails to operate properly at the same time. I have used this app off and on over the past year and a half, and I am surprised none of these problems ever seem to be attempted to be fixed in that duration. If it wasn’t for the app’s great ability to connect people, I would not use this app at all due to the lack of upkeep and overall care from the people operating the software side. As I have said before, this app has a remarkable ability to connect people in local areas. If it wasn’t for that aspect, I can guarantee you people would stop using it with the amount of complaints people have. You can only bank on your strong product differentiation for so long without fixing the software glitches plaguing this app before someone else has the idea to come out with an LDS dating platform with software that works and is reliable. If that happens, I promise you I would switch to the new LDS dating app. All they would have to do is advertise an LDS dating app that actually works with a competent software engineering team that actually cares. I have never seen an app go for a year and a half, like Mutual has, that has completely neglected the programs overall health. If you have any claims of fixing bugs and glitches in the past, I literally have not seen any progress.
