iAnnotate is all new and better than ever. It’s the best way to read, annotate, and share PDFs, Microsoft Office files, images and web pages! Over 1 million people turn to iAnnotate to take notes, sign agreements, highlight documents, insert stamps and more. New in v4: iPhone support, iPad Pro and multitasking support, automatic Apple Pencil detection, shape annotations, improved web markup, enhanced support for OneDrive (and OneDrive for Business), iCloud Drive, and iCloud backup. iAnnotate’s award-winning interface and customizable set of features make it the go-to app for taking notes on lecture slides, annotating important business documents, revising screenplays, grading papers, and much more. Read on to learn about the great capabilities of iAnnotate: IPHONE: Now you can use iAnnotate on your phone, with all of the great features you’ve come to expect on your iPad. IPAD PRO: iAnnotate works great with the iPad Pro. Automatically annotate when you use the Apple Pencil and easily pan, zoom, scroll with your fingers — no tool switching required. Get more work done with iOS multitasking and smart keyboard shortcuts. ANNOTATE: Choose from the pen, highlighter, typewriter, stamp, straight-line, note, underline, strikeout, photo, voice recording, arrow, rectangle, circle, and date stamp tools. CUSTOMIZE: Drag and drop tools to your custom toolbars. Swipe between toolbars, or open the Toolbox to access all your tools. ACCESS: Connect with Box, Dropbox, Google Drive, OneDrive (including OneDrive for Business) or open PDFs directly from email and other apps. SEARCH: Search documents in your local library and throughout your cloud storage. SHARE: iAnnotate saves your markups directly to the PDF, so they can be viewed and edited in external PDF readers. FLATTEN: Compress your annotations onto the document to prevent modification. This is useful for preserving signatures or for preventing recipients from deleting or changing your annotations. WEB MARKUP: Open a web capture tab and find the site you want to mark up. iAnnotate will convert it to a PDF for annotation. NAVIGATE: Explore your documents by thumbnails, bookmarks, annotations, or search results. UNLIMITED TABS: Open multiple documents in tabs, and easily navigate between them, on both tablet and phone. TWO DOCUMENTS: Work on two documents side-by-side, for even greater productivity. MANAGE: Arrange documents by folders and sort contents by date added, date last opened, or alphabetical order. CREATE: Create brand new PDFs with blank, lined, or graph-paper pages. MODIFY: Add, delete, rotate, and rearrange pages in your documents. SUMMARIZE: Forward a summary of your annotations as an email or a new PDF. SECURE: Full support for the iOS Data Protection and Keychain functions. • Appalling support, do not rely in this for your business or profession

UPDATE—SATURDAY, July 21, 2018.... because iAnnotate crashed and the support is working on a 1990’s paradigm, I have been using the annotation tools in the free version of Adobe Acrobat for my iPad ... finding that the free version works for my research about as well as iAnnotate. I’m thinking about getting the premium Acrobat and punting on iAnnotate entirely. iA has some nice features, but they mean nothing when iA crashes and there’s no one around to help. You may want to try out Acrobat’s free version before buying iA. FROM FRIDAY, July 20– No one to help outside of 9am-5pm US central time, Monday-Friday. That is unprofessional and amateurish on their part and tells everybody in the world who doesn’t live in their time zone to get lost. You should not allow your business, profession or educational studies to depend on this. The app has some very nice features, but their support is stuck in the early, pre-Web 1990s.
  • Do not miss on unleashing the power of your Apple Pro

I really find this a better solution for me taking note on what I read from business review than going and writing on a piece of paper or on a separate note It help me keep easy reference to my note and material read and facilitate my next review and reference This has moved me from paper to gadget usage
  • Continue Fixing Search, Please

    By kasilbr
Update #2: I am completely losing my patience. Still waiting on the huge search feature fix, but in the mean time, the last update broke the app even further. Now, every single time the app restarts, it acts like I’m opening it for the first time ever. EVERY SINGLE TIME (which is multiple times in one day, sometimes one hour), I have to add my Dropbox and Local Files storage back in. I can’t ignore because a pop-up comes up. And then, when I go to set it up, it only sets up halfway so I get error messages when my files try to auto save. Like, I’m about to lose my ever-loving mind here. If I ever find another app, I’m bailing, but you have my 10 bucks so what does it matter? Update: I posted this review AFTER the most recent app update, and it really isn't fixed. I keep checking for new updates or hoping I missed something, but every single time I click out of the search, the entire search disappears. I'm happy you've started to fix the new issues with the search function, but I DESPERATELY need the search and the results to stay after I've clicked out of it. I often search something with 20+ results, and need to click on each and every one of them to check them in my document. I cannot possibly re-search the same word 20 times and then have to remember which instance I was on. I'm really not sure why you "fixed" something that was never broken. My work flow went from seamless to clunky and time-wasting.
  • Good but needs improvement

Iannotate worked perfectly until recently. For some reason, using arrow keys on a keyboard (from two different physical keyboards) stopped working and now I cannot navigate through the text that I end up typing.
  • Love this app for knitting!

After purchasing an online pattern, I can send it to iAnnotate and make notations on my iPad. My new iPad and Apple Pencil make the app even more useful and fun!!

A true substitute to paper for your readings, annotation, organizing your study and more.
  • Such a solid app

    By Mdparfitt
I record alot of audiobooks so this app is amazing for annotating books and scripts. Very intuitive and gives you tons of options for navigating and customizing annotations. The only thing I find extremely annoying is when building custom tool bars.. If you want to take a tool out of the tool bar then you must grab and drag the tool out of the sidebar. Which would be fine, but it doesn't register the hold on the tool so it might take 50 or 60 tries before you can take 1 tool out of the tool bar. Other than that tiny thing this app is amazing.
  • Sound Clip crashes the app

    By Qwispy
I’ve been using iAnnotate for years, and generally it’s a good app, but since the latest update, anytime I try to add a sound clip to a PDF, the app freezes and then crashes. I hope this issue is addressed in a future update.
  • Simply the best

    By GoalieTaz
I have used this app for years and it is simply the best, most versatile pdf reader, markup app on the market! Use it daily and my job would be more difficult without it.
  • Needs bug fix with OneDrive

    By Manzi1414
Won’t sync with OneDrive any longer after the latest update... 😒
