  • Continuing to evolve

    By Former RunKeeper Fan
On the surface, The Athletic seems like it has tons of content. And it does. The problem is that I’m not interested in 98% of it. I’m interested in MY teams with only periodic glances at National stories; in my opinion, not nearly enough goes on in day to day analysis. Think of this as an app for columnists rather than newspaper beat writers. Visiting the app 2x/week seems plenty at this point.

    Excellent coverage
  • Team bloggers

I want to follow my team (Oilers) but the two consistent writers seem like glorified basement bloggers who could always do it better than management. Not insightful critiques, just constant negativity and “if we would have done this then we would have won 20 Cups, maybe even World Cup” It gets old and as of right now I am on the side of not renewing my subscription because of it
  • Worth it

    By Ashpendrn
If you are a sports fanatic, it’s well worth the subscription. No question.
  • I enjoy the hockey coverage

    By DetRC1999
The writing is great, but the app itself is only average.
  • Be Aware

Articles are ok. But decided not to continue, I canceled before the free trial was over, and they still charged me the whole year at once, not even a monthly price? and they will not refund even though I canceled in time, Not Right, Very Poor Business Practice!
  • App keeps getting better but needs help

    By SCLEV99
App has been steadily rolling out some great new UI features but seems to have grown too fast. Hard to find authors to follow if you don’t know who is who (lack of sport indicators.) Authors are listed twice for no indicative reasons, or only by city name which doesn’t help determine sport they cover.
  • More sports please

Off to a great start. Would love to see other sports like tennis, MMA and track and field get some coverage.

Best in depth sports site. Skeptical of subscription service when I started but this site is worth every dollar.
