R-Play - Remote Play for PS4 iOS App Details

Take the awesome power of your Sony PlayStation 4 console, and give it the portability and convenience of the Nintendo Switch. Stream your PS4 games to your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch and play from anywhere. Never again will your gaming be interrupted when someone else needs to use the TV! R-Play features: • Play your PlayStation 4 games while away from home by streaming over the internet¹ • Supports HD 720p video (1080p for PS4 Pro) at 60 frames per second for crisp, smooth gameplay • Control games with any MFi game controller, or the built in virtual on-screen controller • Highly tuned performance with extremely low lag • Multiple profile support so you can use any number of different PlayStation 4 consoles or PSN accounts • Customise the virtual on-screen controller to your liking • Quick and easy one-time setup, start playing within seconds To use R-Play, your PS4 must be connected to your home network via LAN cable. For the best streaming experience, having your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch connected to a 5GHz WiFi network is highly recommended. Your PS4 must be linked to a PSN account (however, R-Play does NOT require your PSN password). Note 1: Playing over the internet requires your home network to be set up correctly. In most cases R-Play does this for you automatically. Some users may need to perform this set up manually, according to the instructions found in the included in help guide. Unlike other apps, this app can really stream PS4 games. The only downside is that the farther you go, the more laggy the gameplay is. But this is no SCAM. At least I spend $13 dollars on. If you have enough money, this stream app is an absolute buy.
  • Incredible

Wow, this app is amazing. I was skeptical going in because I thought it would be too laggy for the games I like to play, but it’s really smooth, even for fast-paced games such as Shadow of War or games where timing and response time are super important such as MLB The Show. Everything looks great at 1080p @60fps. However, I only use it on my home network so I can’t comment on how it performs away from home, but I have to imagine that you’d want to stick to slower paced games in those scenarios. But for streaming to your iPad at home when your TV is tied up or you want to chill in another room...it’s awesome. You do need a fast wifi connection tho (5ghz) and your PS4 must be hooked up to your router with a wired ethernet cable. The app has a built-in connection test and I average 1ms of latency and max at 8ms, so that’s really, really good! Most high-end TV’s have a higher response time than that so input lag isn’t an issue here if your wi-fi is up to snuff and there isn’t a lot of local traffic bogging you down (my router is dual band, so I have my wife stick to the 2.4ghz which is more than fast enough for Netflix and what not, while I use the 5ghz channel for gaming and it’s silky smooth). Big thanks to the developer! I haven’t had to use tech support yet, but from what I’ve seen online, he’s super responsive and helpful, so that’s another reason why I didn’t hesitate to take the plunge and I’m glad I did. I’ll update this review if I run into any issues, but so far it’s smooth sailing. Setting it up to use your PS4 controller is a bit of a pain if you only have 1 profile on your system, but once you get it set up, everything is a breeze and the instructions are nice and clear.

Biggest waste of 12 dollars I’ve ever made, I went in and repeatedly attempted to use this app and it never worked, i wish there had of been a refund system because there’s plenty of other things I’d rather spend it on than this garbage that doesn’t even work
  • It’s really works... 🤯

I always follow the saying, ‘it’s too good to be true’ but this is for real. I did research not thinking it really would work since I didn’t want to spend $11 for a scam. After watching a few YouTube videos I just figured ‘to hell with it I’ll just try it.’ Sure enough here I am at work able to play my ps4 pro back at home. I work in software development with a lot of tech nerds but this even blew their minds!! Now they’re all downloading it too. Just one question for the app developer. If Sony shuts this down or you discontinue to update the app (ie stops working with iOS or ps updates) in the future do we get our money back? Anyway, great job! Super impressed!

I love this app because I can play a game on a IPad Mini Also Fortnite doesn’t support this device , but it is a little glitchy from here to there! ~ Ayden
  • Great app

This thing is amazing. I have ATT internet so I initially had some connectivity issues but email support and walkthrough was on the spot about getting it up and working. I highly recommend. I did have to invest in a Mifi controller. The app does the best it can with on screen controls but it is difficult with so many buttons
