  • Waste of time

I came across this app and download it but my toddler wasn’t interested. Our speech therapist said the app is a waste of time and I I’ve been trying to unsubscribe to this app from the very next day of getting it. This have been a nightmare. Then steps that their giving me don’t seem to show the subscription option so now I have to contact Apple before I get a bill. Please don’t waste your time. Haven’t even been able to reach someone from their support at all.

  • Not for us

Maybe I am not using it right, but I don’t think this is for us at least. My son is in speech therapy with an articulation disorder. I was hoping this app could be used to reinforce the sounds he is working on. Like if we worked on F sounds this week, between sessions, I could use this to work on F sounds and reinforce what he was learning. But it doesn’t give me any option to work on a particular sound or anything. So I’m not sure how to use it to help us. My son is five and he’s just working on specific sounds “F, G, Sh, S, and a few more I’m probably forgetting. The app also acted like he was making the correct sounds when he wasn’t. When he was repeating square, he was totally missing the S sound. Which is a sound we are working on. Yet it kept acting like he was getting it right. I also wasn’t sure if he was just supposed to sit and listen and then repeat. Or if he was supposed to speak along with the kids.

I’ve attempted to contact someone through the app, unsuccessfully. You cannot unsubscribe in the iTunes Store and this app is not for us! I do not want to be charged again—be weary of this app! We’re still trying to stop the monthly fee!!!

I can’t unsubscribe. It says to go to iTunes to unsubscribe. There is no option to do so in my iTunes. So, now I got charged the $9.99, because it is past the 3 days free trial.

I had high hopes for the way this app was set up! It seems like a great way to motivate kids to practice speech with immediate reinforcers. But within the first minute of using the app, you show a monkey passing gas and talk about scratching butts?? Very inappropriate, distasteful, and unnecessary. Deleted the app.

My son was diagnosed with autism a few months ago... he was non verbal at the time of his diagnosis, but with the help of early interventions and apps like this, he is now speaking and learning new words every day! I know this app is a huge part of his verbal growth because he pronounces things like the kids in the app (like "truck... truuuuuuuuck, truck!"), and it always makes me laugh ❤️. Thank you for making such an easy to use, fun, helpful app! This mama is endlessly grateful to hear her sons voice 🙏🏼❤️.
  • Suggestion

I would suggest not having the animal face or whatever graphic it is, appear until after the child attempts to make the sound so that they can be reinforced for trying to make the sound

  • Unable to customize & glitchy

My 4yr old son has problems with specific sounds/letter formations. He is in speech therapy at school, but I thought this might be a fun way to work with him at home. I downloaded it for the free 7day trial thinking that I might be willing to pay the steep 9 bucks a month if it was very useful. However, it was glitchy and the glitches caused it to actually be frustrating for my son. I don’t think the glitches were my phone as I have a brand new IPhone 8 with 64gb and tons of left over memory. The app should run fine! Instead, the little games/illustrations at the end of the practice had the child’s voice over on top of them and the speech bubbles telling me how to use the app from the intro kept popping up and obscuring the game/illustration. And they also didn’t match the content. For example, we were practicing “square” and after practice a little robot made of squares came into the screen. Meanwhile the little boy saying square was still voiced over the top and a speech bubble telling us about gorillas was obscuring the robot. Another glitch was that the recording function has a little progress bar. When he was practicing the sounds, the progress bar’s movement did not match up to what he was doing. For instance, he would make sound and the bar did not move but sometimes when he paused it would all of a sudden jump forward. These glitches were problematic bc when it comes to speech, my son is particularly easily frustrated. Having the app not work correctly made it so he felt like he wasn’t doing it right. Besides the glitches, I disliked that I couldn’t specify what sounds we wanted to work on. For a subscription based app of 9 bucks a month there should be the ability to customize in that way.
