  • This was definitely not the same old game

    By Cocoa209
Clockwork Tales took a bit of getting used to because it’s a Steampunk style game, not the usual fantasy dragon princess story. It is unique and I found it fun. The graphics are great-very dramatic without being gross or off the wall. The storyline is well done; good characters; scenes are fresh and unusual since the story is set in a Germanic village. Even the dramatic scenes are good because you know you won’t die if you fail the task. I like games with no pressure and the puzzles are perfect-most of them I can do without skipping because they are too tedious or whatever. I like having female heroines as the primary protagonist.
  • Confusing???

Money back please!!! I have purchased 7 different Artifex Mundi games and I usually love them…but I did not enjoy this one as much! I thought the mini games lacked a proper instructional explanation and led to a complete confusion of what I was supposed to do. Items collected did not relect a proper use of what to do with them, and ultimately I had to use the hint button more often than not. Better luck next time I guess.
  • Great Time!

Enjoyed this game very much! Keeps your attention and not so easy you breeze right through it. Thanks!!
  • Pretty Good so far

Decent puzzles, hidden object games, overall story, and graphics. Not so hard as to get frustrated. No glitches, crashes, etc… Definately one of the better games.
  • Love this game

Relaxing toi play good story line. Small issue of crashing in the beginning, but I was able to correct the problem.
  • My Favorite

I’ve played quite a few of these games by G5 and Artifex Mundi and this was by far my favorite. I played on casual and it took me a few hours, which I prefer they take a little while. The graphics were great, as always, and the mouths fit pretty well to the words being said. The story line more plausable than the others because of the machines instead of the supernatural. It’s the puzzles, mini games, and problem solving that I enjoy the most. I liked that I could use the map to go to different places so I don’t have to keep clicking back to go somewhere else. I always like that there are extras in the game, as you play you unlock achievements and have to collect things. There is a bonus section with this game that showed what Ink was up to beforehand. It’s definitely worth the money to play this one.

    good fun!
  • Nice game. Steam punk is a nice touch

This was by far the most interesting story of any of the Artifex Mundi games. I really liked the Steam Punk theme. Fun puzzles. The hidden objects games were well done. the voice overs on this were far superior to other voice work on some of the games. I felt like these actors really cared about making the game fun. I would have to say this has been my favorite Artifex Mundi game so far.
  • Interesting but……..

The puzzles were fun and very doable without a hint. Some you had to think about for a bit which made it interesting. There are the usual find something as you go along - for the completist. In this case - insects. I enjoyed the characters and the story could have been first rate if it weren’t for all the questions that kept popping up in my head. Like why didn’t the protaganist kill Inkk? And the escape was a mite far fetch since it just happened out of the “blue”. The only glitch I found was in one of the cut-scenes. There was a humming noise in the background during the scene which stopped when the scene finished. Overall, it’s a nice small game to play. Puzzles are great for younger players to learn relationships and reasoning abilities. For older folk, they are nice for mind using abilities. The painted scenes are top shelf and the progression is good. A decent puzzle game to play while waiting for the train or in a waiting room as well as good teaching lessons for youngsters. Yeah, I’ll probably play it again in a month or so.
