The League iOS App Details

Equalist. Not Elitist. See our mission statement at So you want to date someone that shares your same education level AND ambition/drive? And maybe, just maybe, you'd like them to be in your same neighborhood, attractive enough to at LEAST look good in a black-and-white photo, with a height that meets your way-too-restrictive height preferences. Perhaps you also want them to share your religion as well. While your mother may call you picky, we call you self-aware. It's about to be happy hour, so go get 'em. #singleisin #neversettle League users now have the option of becoming a member by purchasing several subscription options. This membership offers extra perks, customization, more prospects & invites to exclusive events. Depending on what term you choose, your Membership will last for either 1 month, 6 month, or 12 month, and automatically renew at those intervals from point of purchase onward. If you wish to cancel your membership before it is renewed, you must do so at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Payment will be charged to iTunes Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of the current period. Account will be charged for renewal within 24-hours prior to the end of the current period, and will be renewed at the same price the next term. • Scam?

    By Daveuf
They took all my personal info from Facebook and linked in and then didn’t even let me sign up. Ha
  • It’s okay

So, I’m just learning to use this app my thoughts might change. It takes a long time to go through the approval process. They certainly push memberships and referrals, which makes sense. The quality of profiles IS a bit higher than other apps. The amount of description/information is pretty low. It’s nice that they qualify and screen.
  • Huge disappointment!!

It’s been about 1.5 Months since I became a member and so far it’s been a complete waste of money. :( Their concept sounded great to me initially. Being matched with someone who has same education level and getting 5 matches/day so that you won’t get overwhelmed with the whole online dating process. What I found out since I started is that most of the days I get matched with people, who I have nothing in common nor attracted to at all and their are 5 of them! And if I do get matched with someone I am remotely interested in, nothing ever happens. The app gives people 21 days to contact each other. I’m not sure if it’s because of that or just everyone on the app is all flakes, who like to play games. Except me, lol. Out of the 4 matches, so far I haven’t even “talked” to any of them, meaning I sent a message saying “hi” and I heard nothing back. Granted I deleted the matches after waiting a day for them to respond, but I already know how serious and considerate they are based on that. I talked to people in chat rooms (within The League) and so many people had same experience! They didn’t delete the matches like me and waited but their matches just didn’t respond until the matches expired (after 21days). I made a suggestion to The League team re: creating some immediate and visible rewards to encourage members to take more initiative to message the other party first, to be motivated to promptly reply the messages they receive, and to treat others with respect. Hopefully they will do something like this or something even better to make the app a better dating experience. The league is one of the most expensive dating apps out there right now. If I were you I would try the other free ones first, they have a lot to work it out still.
  • Crashes Constantly

    By sethfri
Every time I tap “Add Interest”, the app crashes, so I’m stuck with my “interests” from Facebook that I added when I was 14. Terrible app
  • At least bumble is free

Claim to be exclusive and only allow educated people. The opposite... Do not pay for this!!
  • Can’t login

    By markh719
Every time I try to login using LinkedIn it seems to login and then takes me right back to the login page. Completely unusable.

first of all, this app tries to up sell you and advertises so many in-app upgrades its insanity. The preferences I set up never actually worked in the 2 weeks I had this app. Shows me 3 random results each day then tried to get me to upgrade to something. On top of that when you engage in chat, below your icon, rather than seeing my name, I saw my Facebook password!!! I got my first match today and noticed that and deactivated my account and unlinked from my Facebook and LinkedIn immediately.
  • So many bugs and issues

    By Hellothisisme123
Match with someone? Good luck being able to receive their messages when you open the app or even being able to send. Message failed to send constantly, and the servers are always “popping” in other words down... frustrating
  • Aweful!

    By Dav00d
Wow, I cannot believe that it retrieved all my facebook data and right before welcoming me to the app, it obliged me to give my LinkedIn as well or give up! I’d have never given access to my FB data if I knew ahead of time that giving access to LinkedIn data is mandatory. Furthermore, it asks you for username and password of your LinkedIn profile!!! Not like FB where you give permission via app, but basically asks you for carte blanche on LinkedIn!! Preposterous!
  • Meh

    By Mac and PC Girl
This app is pretty meh. I was accepted within two days of applying but that doesn’t mean much. It’s very difficult to get matches and everyone I’ve spoken to has said the same thing; they got a few matches here and there initially then next to nothing after a few weeks. I don’t know if it’s their algorithm or what, but it’s peculiar. In terms of my experience, I did meet a great guy who I really hit it off with but after a few dates, things fizzled out and I was left wondering if it was me or the app(jk). Tldr; not worth paying for or even waiting for more than a week. I’ve seen people with 0 educational background working retail be accepted so I’m not sure how “exclusive” and “elite” the League really is.
