    Most of the time this app does exactly what it says- forces you out of bed and tricks you into staying out of bed. But every once in a while the bugs and weird quirks of this app totally screw you over. Sometimes the volume doesn’t work and the alarm doesn’t audibly ring. Sometimes it will start ringing at a random time that the alarm wasn’t set for. Sometimes when you close the app it starts frantically beeping at you. It’s the lack of consistency with the bugs that makes it difficult - if it had a few predictable quirks you could work around them, but these issues pop up unexpectedly and then suddenly you’re late to work or completely rude in a meeting because your phone is chirping and you can’t make it stop.

    I really want to like this app. The concept actually works - I just wish the app worked better. Below is a list of problems I’ve had with the app: - the alarm never actually activating at the time you set it - the alarm activating silently, so you sleep through it (this happened a LOT) - the alarm not resetting itself, so it just keeps going even after you complete the prompts I’ve had to turn my phone off so many times to get the app to reset itself. Just frustrating. However, I actually still like how the alarm wakes you up. It really does work - I only wish the bugs were fixed.

    First off, I can’t get the camera to focus any more. Tapping the screen doesn’t do anything. If I’m lucky I can find the sweet spot between being too far away from the barcode and it being too blurry, but it’s very frustrating and takes a long time now. The other thing is just that I tried to send feedback about this, but it’s just giving me an error over and over again. I’ll try again later I suppose. In reference to my past reviews: I think that blaring thing (loud and horrible, on the minute every minute no matter what state the app is in so long as my phone is on) only happens when the alarm I’ve just gone through is the ONLY one I have active. I’ve been keeping at least two on at all times and it hasn’t happened in a good while. Or maybe they’ve fixed it. Idk.

    Please fix this app's ability to run in the background. I have to leave the app active on my screen and cannot even lick my phone in order for it to work properly. Last night there was an alert from Apple that came through about an apple watch software update and so kiwake didn't work at all and I overslept. Please fix the reliability of kiwake. I even tried sending this message through the app feedback link but it brought up an error message. Then the developer website link didn't work from the app store. Do you want feedback or not?!

    I used to love this app because I am a habitual snoozer. Kiwake made sure I got out of bed, walked around, used my brain, and read my motivations to get up on time. By the time I did all of that, I was wide awake and not tempted to lay back down. Then it started glitching and became really easy to turn off. I just reinstalled it last night and got everything set up, only for it to not work this morning. The alarm sounded, but it just went back to the main screen of the app instead of going through all the steps. I was able to delete the alarm and go back to bed. I just wish it worked every time but it doesn’t.

    Kiwake actually makes me get up, and I have to seriously think about it if I plan on going to bed after completing this alarm. I’ve only went back to my bed one time while using this alarm; that day my body truly just needed some more sleep. Every other day I’ve been up with the alarm! I don’t always want to be; sometimes I feel groggy and lay there awhile, but the alarm is eventually annoying enough to get me up. And don’t try just turning off your phone; it’ll start beeping super loud! This app is pretty much foolproof for anyone willing to stay up after they get up! P.S. the mini game really helps to get your brain going.
